Level of international collaboration on projects

Supporting collaborative work across countries and strengthening the European Research Area is a key aim of the framework programmes. This indicator tracks the extent of international collaboration, as part of one of the routes through which impact can be facilitated. This indicator therefore provides contextual information to support the analysis of different societal impacts. The ‘Low’ score represents projects with the participation of one or two countries, the ‘Medium’ score represents projects with the participation of 3 to 6 countries and the ‘High’ score represents projects with more than 6 participating countries.
